Daniel Flynn

Daniel Flynn is a pioneer in social and sustainable enterprise. As a mere teenager Daniel read the alarming statistics that Australians spend over 600 million dollars for bottled water, whilst nearly 900 million people a year worldwide don’t have access to safe drinking water. This insane disparity lead Daniel and his university friends to found Thankyou, a Melbourne-based social enterprise that sells bottled water in Australia with a sole purpose to fund safe water projects in developing nations.

Whilst working part-time jobs and juggling university degrees, Daniel and his friends volunteered their time over three and a half years to develop this game changing social enterprise.

Despite a variety of initial setbacks, Thankyou is now a thriving, well-known brand stocked in many retail outlets across Australia. Thankyou have also expanded to include food, body care and baby care, with 50 products available in 5500 outlets in Australia (including 7 Eleven, Coles and Woolworths). Most importantly, they commit 100% of their profits to fund safe water, food and hygiene and sanitation services around the world.

Recognised as Young Australian of the Year in 2014 and author of the bestselling book Chapter One, Daniel’s ability to create longlasting change knows no end.
