What is your book called and what is it about?

Sweat Swear Smile.

Sweat Swear Smile is NOT just another fitness book full of the same old ineffective misinformation. It’s NOT a book about weight loss, though it will help you get a lot stronger and give you the ability to live an energy-filled life. It’s NOT a book about repetitive exercise, though it will help you understand how to move freely and empower you to make decisions and earn the keys to lasting fitness success. It’s NOT a book about just eating chicken and broccoli (nobody wants that).

What Sweat, Swear, Smile will do is help you get off the merry-go-round of weight loss and pointless exercise so you get real results from your efforts.

Tell us more about you?

At 53 years of age, I was out of shape, so I created the blueprint for a 12-week challenge!

That’s when the lightbulb went off for me and I ‘got it’. I took action and engaged a trainer, weighing in each week and sending in photos (yes, I was accountable to my coach).

What happened?

My health and energy levels were recharged, and I felt new again!

Besides the obvious physical improvement, putting myself in the client’s shoes was such a great lesson to remind me of the importance of my three pillars of training, mindset, and nutrition.

Now every year, I personally complete a 12-week challenge, and I’m working towards competing in my 60s. Training every day as though you have a competition coming up can really keep you on track.

Let us get to know you a little better by answering these quickfire questions:

What is your favourite quote?

“Everyone has the potential for a great body and great mindset (seriously)!”

What is your favourite book?

Mine.

What is your favourite podcast at the moment?

Don’t listen to them.

Who is your role model?

My mum.

Who in your life has inspired you the most and why?

My twin brother because of his competitive spirit.

What is your coffee order?

Cappuccino.

Pet peeves?

Storytellers, not doers.

What inspired you to write this book?

It was COVID.

How did you find the process of writing and publishing your book?

Great.

What surprised you most about the writing process?

The timeframe.

What do you hope the reader gets from reading this book?

Take action to contact me.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to write a book but doesn’t know how?

Patience and strategy.
