For writers, there is no bigger rush than becoming a published author and holding the first printed copy of your book. We know how hard the publishing industry is to break into, and that’s why we have created this competition. We want to encourage inspiring authors, business owners, influencers, coaches, speakers, and trainers into the publishing industry and help one lucky writer make a name for themselves.

A book can help the reader by educating them in your expert subject, it can even change someone’s life or save it. It can help you become seen as the Expert and leave a legacy in the world. Not to mention it can bring leads and clients into your business.

Submissions close Monday 16 January 2023
The winner will be announced Tuesday 31 January 2023.

Submission Guidelines

We accept Australian-based authors or business owners with an Australian-based audience.

We only accept manuscripts that have not been previously published by another publisher (self-published titles are accepted).

We accept fiction, non-fiction, children’s books and cookbooks.

How to Enter

Send an email to [email protected] with one document titled ‘[Manuscript Title], [Author Name]’ containing the following:

A one-sentence pitch identifying the genre and hook (25 words maximum please)
Author bio, contact details and social media handles (please include if you’ve had any books previously published)
Synopsis (max 400 words)
Summary of how you plan to market your book
First 6 chapters of your book or the full manuscript*
Use the email subject header: ‘Manuscript Comp: [Manuscript Title], [Author Name]’.

* If you submit your manuscript without the above requested information you will not be considered for the competition. Your manuscript will be kept confidential and not shared outside our publishing team.

Winner Announced

The winner will be notified via phone or email and announced on our social media platform Tuesday 31 January 2023.
